Types of Satellite Dish To Choose From
There are numerous choices of dishes from Sky TV, Freesat and Freetime.
Sky satellite dishes are small and unobtrusive. We are experts in installing this type of dish as Barry did his training with Sky. Whether the location of the dish is high or hard to reach or needs to avoid trees or buildings, we can set your system up. We can even put the dish in a location where it is concealed for aesthetic reasons.
Freesat is almost identical in terms of satellite dishes to Sky (but not Sky Q). Therefore, you can use the same dish for Sky HD and Freesat to save those pennies. In fact, you can have a Freesat box using a Sky Dish, but instead of installing a Sky Box we can supply a Freesat Box.
Living in an area with weak broadband can be a nightmare. Satellite broadband is received via satellite without a telephone line and it covers the majority of the UK.
In the UK, we can also receive satellite TV from Europe and North Africa which includes free subscription services. This will normally mean having a larger satellite dish than for Sky or Freesat. It is also possible to set your satellite dish to tune into a lot of different satellite positions from the same dish. We can talk you through this.
If you live by the sea, the coastal conditions may rust your satellite dish and affect its performance. Therefore, upon request we can supply fibreglass dishes which last a very long time, as well as aluminium and transparent dishes.
Poor quality TV pictures can be caused by a number of factors:
A new Freeview, HD Ready TV aerial can overcome the problems above and future proof your system.
We only use aerials which are LTE compliant (Long Term Evolution) or often known as mobile broadband 4G, where the signal can interfere with TV reception.
The majority of Smart TVs are Freeview HD Ready these days. Albar Aerials can provide and fit a Freeview HD Ready TV aerial to give you sharp and clear images to improve your TV viewing.
If you live in such an area, we can install a Freesat satellite dish for you instead. It is a free service and you just pay for the installation and equipment in the same manner as Freeview. But after that, there are no costs as it is a one-off payment.
There are over 170 TV and radio channels to choose from including HD, so you are spoilt for choice.
Using a HD Distribution network future proofs your TV. Also, if you have a Freesat or Sky Box in a cupboard, the HD network can be distributed around your house or office. That means you can run multiple TVs off one viewing box.
One simple way is to install a HDMI Splitter at the source, i.e. the Freesat or Sky Box end with a HDMI cable to the TV and then another HDMI Splitter. N.B. with technology changing a HDMI cable may not always be compatible with new products.
What Other Ways Are There To Get HD TV in Different Rooms?
Instead of installing a HDMI cable, you can install a network cable between the TV and Freesat or Sky Box. A CAT5 or CAT6 is the correct one and it will future proof your system. HDMI Distribution is now also available over CO AX too.
How Can You View HD TV in Multiple Rooms From One Source?
It can be carried out in a similar fashion to having a single TV room, but rather than a single network cable, there would be multiple CAT6 cables. These cables are distributed from a central point of the house or office to the rooms of your choosing to be able to watch in HD. The system works using what is known as a Structured Cable Network.
What is the Benefit of Having Centrally Located Equipment?
It means you have clear HD Definition pictures in multiple rooms and you can keep your living room free of clutter because you don’t need several different types of viewing equipment as it is centralised.
